The Summer Scouting process for the 2027 NFL Draft has identified the top 10 offensive tackles, with Trevor Goosby from Texas leading the rankings. Insights from watching 14 players highlight key prospects for teams to consider in the Fall.
We have reached another week into the Summer Scouting process, and that means we have wrapped up watching the top offensive tackles in the class heading into the Fall.
In total, I watched 14 offensive tackles and will be sharing some notes on the top 10. I will share all the names at the end, but when we discuss the top options of this tackle class, there are some top-end pieces for teams to target. The Summer is all about being positive with players, with some notes to keep in mind when we watch them in the Fall.
We have beaten around the bush enough, though, let's show our rankings.
Goosby is such a fluid and athletic player at the tackle position. He was one of the last players I watched in this group, and it was as clear as day that he was the best one in the group. He returned to Texas to achieve big things in 2026 and he is poised to do that and perhaps make himself a top end draft pick in 2027.
We have seen that coming back from an ACL injury is tough for them to overcome in the NFL's eyes. Despite that, early reports are good for Jacarrius Peak, who should be able to play early on for South Carolina to give them the best offensive line piece they have had in recent memory.
The top offensive tackle is Trevor Goosby from Texas, among others ranked in the top 10.
The Summer Scouting process helps evaluate player performance and potential ahead of the Fall season, providing teams with insights on prospects.
A total of 14 offensive tackles were evaluated, with notes shared on the top 10.
Factors include player performance, physical attributes, and potential fit for NFL teams, with a focus on positive assessments during the Summer.

Trevor Lauck is next in line from the Iowa offensive line factory. He is not as physically imposing as a Tristan Wirfs, but technically, he is sound enough to be a top tackle prospect.
Jordan Seaton has so much potentoal and so many physical gifts, I just want to see it all put together on film. He is already showing a strong work ethic and is in tremendous shape in Baton Rouge so he has a chance to compete for the top spot in these rankings next year.
PJ Williams was a fun surprise when I went through this offensive tackle class. He is a bona fide anchor for the offensive line and can surprise you with how well he moves despite his big build.
Siereveld could very well make the move inside to guard, but I think he deserves a chance at tackle. He has some pieces to build on in his game heading into the 2026 season, so be sure to watch him play this fall.
Lance Heard to me could be a guard, just as Siereveld, but going to a fun Kentucky team could allow him to show me otherwise. He is a god anchor for the Wildcat offense, which has rebuilt itself this year through the transfer portal.
Carter Smith is a top tackle in a lot of people's minds, and I see the potential, but I am timid about it all. I think he is very sound, technically, but he lacks the wow factor that you look for in top tackles.
Niki Prongos could easily be one of the top tackles in this class in a few months. He hjust has not played in a lot of games, so he essentially just needs the reps, and he will get more of those this season.
Another tackle I am lower on than the consensus is Cayden Green. I feel he has some issues with speed off the edge, and I need to see that corrected in 2026.
