Super 16 college softball rankings: OU unanimous No. 1 after sweeping Georgia
Add one more thing to the list of unlikely things that Oklahoma is doing.
In a season that's seen lots of topsy-turvy-ness at the top of The Oklahoman's College Softball Super 16 rankings, the Sooners have not only kept the top spot for three consecutive weeks but also become the unanimous choice at No. 1.
Not since Tennessee got all the first-place votes almost two months ago has a team been a unanimous No. 1.
OU secured that lofty standing after sweeping Georgia this past weekend, including a run-rule win in the series opener. That came a week after the Sooners lost to Oklahoma State in a midweek game, then lost the rubber match of their series against Arkansas. But even then, on the strength of its overall schedule, OU remained in the top spot.
Now 46-6, OU has 16 Quad-1 wins, tied with Texas for the most in the nation.
Let's get to the Super 16.
