Tennessee senior pitcher Evan Blanco was named to the 2026 SEC Baseball Community Service Team on Wednesday.

The annual honor recognizes one student-athlete from each SEC institution for outstanding service and contributions to their community.

Blanco is in his first season with the Vols after transferring from Virginia. He has amassed more than 25 hours of community service since arriving in the fall of 2025, including visits to Dolly Parton Children's Hospital to spend time with with children suffering from a variety of health issues.

Blanco has also appeared at local schools for the Read Across America initiative.

He will graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in information sciences. Blanco was formerly involved in a program called A Shot For Life, a sports-based non-profit organization based in Massachusetts that hosts sporting events and fundraisers to raise money for children's cancer research.
