Teun Koopmeiners: Why Juventus are willing to sell Man United target
Manchester Unitedâs shortlist of midfield targets is expanding rapidly as the summer transfer window approaches, with the Red Devils expected to sign several midfielders as part of their squad overhaul.
On Monday, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming that Real Madridâs AurĂ©lien TchouamĂ©ni features prominently on Unitedâs wish list of candidates to replace Casemiro.
Now, a report from Italy suggests the Mancunians are in the picture for a Juventus midfield lynchpin.
According to TuttoSport, Teun Koopmeiners is facing an uncertain future at Juventus amid interest from Manchester United and Galatasaray.
Koopmeiners joined Juve from Atalanta in 2024 in a deal worth around âŹ52 million (ÂŁ45.2m). However, the Dutchman has struggled to make his mark in Turin despite playing in a number of positions under different managers.
Juventus is looking to restructure their squad and is open to selling Koopmeiners as part of this strategy.
Manchester United's main midfield targets include Teun Koopmeiners and Aurélien Tchouaméni from Real Madrid.
Selling Koopmeiners could provide Juventus with funds to reinvest in their squad and facilitate their planned overhaul.

The versatile 28-year-old has shown signs of promise as a centre-back under Luciano Spalletti. Koopmeiners is a technically gifted player who possesses exceptional athleticism.
Speaking to Sky Sports (via Express), former AZ boss Pascal Jansen claimed the six-foot-tall midfielderâs âpressing and chasing abilities when out of possession, I would almost say they are inhuman.â
