Houston Texans fans are upset with CBS Sports' latest power rankings, criticizing Pete Prisco's assessment of the team's roster. The Texans have achieved significant success recently, including a strong performance in the draft and a solid record under coach DeMeco Ryans.

CBS Sports' Pete Prisco is already among the hated in the land of the Houston Texans for his outlandish takes on the roster.
His recent comments won't do him any favors entering the 2026 season.
The Texans have made it to the divisional round three times since the hiring of DeMeco Ryans. They've won at least 10 games each season, including tying a franchise record-best 12 last year. They've featured a top 10 defense and a 1,000-yard playmaker every year with Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud under center.
Not to mention, the Texans constantly hit on draft picks, including recent names like cornerback Kamari Lassiter, wide receiver Jayden Higgins and safety Calen Bullock.
So, where does Prisco have the Texans ranked after a promising draft that featured two major additions to the trenches?
Fifteenth.
No, not fifth, but fifteenth. And among AFC rosters, Prisco has Houston seventh among AFC teams, barely squeaking in as a playoff roster.
"They had a heck of a draft," Prisco said on CBS Tuesday morning. "We know what this team is all about this year. It's C.J. Stroud."
When asked if Stroud's play in Year 3 had anything to do with the rankings, Prisco didn't hold back.
Texans fans are frustrated due to Pete Prisco's negative comments about the team's roster, which they believe do not reflect their recent successes.
Under DeMeco Ryans, the Texans have reached the divisional round three times and have consistently won at least 10 games each season.
Recent notable draft picks for the Texans include cornerback Kamari Lassiter, wide receiver Jayden Higgins, and safety Calen Bullock.

"Yeah, I mean, look, do you believe in C.J. Stroud?" Prisco said.
Stroud must play better. No one will argue that his seven turnovers in the playoffs might have cost Houston a chance to land a trip to the Super Bowl, but there were more glaring issues long-term for Houston last season, including a still underwhelming offensive line and run game.
The hope is that both areas were addressed in the offseason. Houston put an emphasis on fixing the run blocking by extending Ed Ingram and signing run-heavy offensive linemen Braden Smith and Wyatt Teller. As for the position itself, Houston traded a fourth-round pick to Detroit to land David Montgomery, who totaled 32 touchdowns in three seasons with the Lions.
That alone should warrant a top 12 grade. Add in the defense that only got better with the addition of Kayden McDonald from Ohio State and no one should have the Texans ranked outside of the top 10.
Sorry Prisco for the comment section coming your way.
