As reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Texans locked in their franchise defender.
âThe Texans and All-Pro edge Will Anderson Jr. have agreed on a blockbuster, 3-year, $150M extension with $134M guaranteed to make him the NFLâs highest paid non-QB ever,â Rapoport wrote.
The deal also includes a rare no-trade clause, a provision almost never given to non-quarterbacks, highlighting just how much control and value Anderson now holds within the organization.
At $50 million per year, the contract sets a new benchmark for defensive players and separates Anderson from the rest of the market.
In the 2025 season alone, Anderson recorded 12 sacks, 54 tackles, and 20 tackles for loss while adding 85 quarterback pressures, one of the highest totals in the league.
