Von Miller, the former Texas A&M All-American and Super Bowl MVP, has been inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, a fitting honor for one of the most decorated defenders the state has ever produced.
Millerâs selection was announced last year, and it never felt like a question. After starring at DeSoto High School, he became one of the most disruptive players in college football, finishing his Aggie career with 181 tackles, 50.5 tackles for loss, and 33 sacks. His 2010 season remains one of the best in program history: 68 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, 10.5 sacks, an interception, Consensus All-American honors, and the Dick Butkus Award.
The NFL wasted no time recognizing his talent. Drafted No. 2 overall by the Denver Broncos in 2011, Miller immediately delivered, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year. Over 15 seasons, heâs built a rĂ©sumĂ© that places him among the all-time greats:
- 133.5 career sacks (18th all-time, most among active players)
- Three All-Pro selections
- Eight Pro Bowls
