With teams still in play for conference tournaments here is where teams could land.
Where could Texas A&M be Selection Sunday?
Based on the current RPI, there is an overlap of 13 teams that were regional hosts last year.
Teams from the 2025 regional hosting that are out of contention include Clemson, Arizona and South Carolina. But new faces expected to host include Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Georgia.
Behind the impressive work of two-way player Jordy Frahm, the Cornhuskers ended the regular season clinching the Big Ten championship on a 17-game win streak. They had early season wins against Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State and are third in RPI. Nebraska is 44-6 this season and plays Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament.
Like a tornado, Oklahoma State came out of no where. The Cowgirls climbed to 15th inĀ RPI after impressive wins over Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Oklahoma. The Cowgirls shutout Utah 7-0 in the Big 12 Tournament for their 38th win of the season.
Georgia has challenged teams in the SEC this season and in the last week climbed from 15th to 14th. They pushed Texas to extra innings in Game 3 of that series and upset Florida by winning the regular season finale series 2-1. The Bulldogs beat LSU in the second round of the SEC Tournament, which could lift the 14th-ranked Dawgs to 13th and take over LSU's spot.
Last year six SEC teams hosted super regionals and nine hosted regionals. This year that number could be nine regional hosts.

Where could Texas A&M land?
The lowest possible place theĀ Aggies could land in RPI is 16th. Stanford is 17th in RPI and is still alive in the ACC Tournament. Mississippi State is 18th but has already been eliminated in the SEC Tournament. Arizona is 18th and played its opening game of the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday and the 20th-ranked team in RPI, Virginia Tech, will play rival Virginia to open the ACC Tournament.
They might get bit of help from the SEC Tournament because LSU, who was previously 11th in RPI, is likely going to drop after losing to Georgia. The top 10 teams are likely to stay where they are, it's the bottom six teams that could be rearranged. A&M may find itself rooting for rival Texas as well: the Longhorns beat No. 21-ranked Ole Miss, which likely eliminates at least one SEC team from leap-frogging A&M.
Given LSU's early exit from the tournament, the Aggies could go as high as 14th on Selection Sunday, which mean's the Aggies won't host a Super Regional. But that would mean theĀ Aggies would host a regional for the second straight year.
