No. 12 Texas A&M is eyeing a sweep after it clinched its series against No. 14 Mississippi State with a 4-0 win Saturday at Davis Diamond.
A&M (33-12, 13-4 SEC) pitcher Sydney Lessentine pitched her fifth complete game of the season; on 112 pitches she had two strikeouts and allowed three hits with four walks against the Bulldogs (34-13, 6-11). The Aggies had a three-run second inning despite a 20-minute rain delay and they got an insurance run in the sixth on a Micaela Wark sacrifice fly.
If A&M can pull off the sweep Sunday at home it will be its second straight after taking all three games against Ole Miss last week.
