Texas A&M vs. Texas: SEC baseball live update, score, highlights

For the first time since Texas joined the Southeastern Conference, the Texas A&M Aggies' baseball program will host the Longhorns in the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown at Blue Bell Park in Bryan-College Station, Texas, with Game 1 set to begin at 7 p.m. CT on Friday.

Texas sits at the top of the league standings entering the weekend, but a hard-hitting Aggie lineup has an opportunity to throw a wrench into that if they can continue their hot streak. Texas A&M ranks third in the SEC with a .320 batting average and third with 68 total home runs so far this season.

Gavin Grahovac has played a significant role in sparking success at the plate for the Maroon and White in 2026. He leads the SEC in runs scored (19) and RBI (19) in conference play. Meanwhile, outfielder Caden Sorrell leads the league with 52 RBI and 16 home runs thus far.

The Aggies will send left-hander Shane Sdao to the mound against the Longhorn lineup, which ranks fourth with a .302 batting average. Sdao boasts a 5.48 ERA with 52 strikeouts and a 3-2 record, but Texas A&M must have a consistent outing from him in Game 1, with an already depleted bullpen and an unknown starter for Game 3.
