
Texas Longhorns sophomore forward Nic Codie has entered the NCAA transfer portal just weeks after expressing his intention to stay at the university. Codie averaged 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game this season, with a standout performance in March Madness.
After the Texas Longhorns remarkable Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tournament, sophomore Nic Codie seemingly announced he was staying at UT. But two weeks later, the forward has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Codie is one of the players that bridged the gap between former head coach Rodney Terry and current coach Sean Miller. He played in 43 games at Texas, averaging 3.0 points per game, 2.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists. The Dallas native's best stint with Texas was in this year's March Madness. In three games, he scored 17 points and had eight rebounds. He also dished out six assists and made an impact on defense with two steals. His best game came in Texasâ Sweet Sixteen victory over Gonzaga, scoring a season-high 12 points with four rebounds.
