Following a stellar high school career, Longhorns signee Bo Ogden is making national headlines. The Texas native has been invited to the 2026 USA basketball menâs U18 national team training camp. In less than two weeks, Ogden will get to show off his skills when the camp begins on the 21st.
Currently, the talented small forward is ranked as the 39th-best player in the 2026 class. They also rank him as the 15th best small forward and fourth best player from the Lone Star state. That high praise is partly why head coach Sean Miller is counting down the days until Ogden's collegiate debut.
Over the last few weeks, Ogden has been busy adding to his trophy case as his high school career came to a close. He was recently named Mr. Basketball in the state of Texas after leading Westlake to a 32-7 overall record and a runner-up finish in the UIL Class 6A Division II state tournament. As a senior, he n averaged 22.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range.
The stellar play of Ogden came as no surprise after what he did as a junior. At  St. Michael's Preparatory School, the Longhorns' recruits averaged 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Due to his play, Ogden was named the 2025 All-Austin Metro Mr. Basketball by Austin Sports Journal.
On the international stage, Ogden will get to test his skills against some of the best players in the world. In Group A play, Team USA will take on Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. The quarterfinals are set for June 5, semifinals June 6, and medal games on June 7.
Regardless of how tournament play goes for Ogden, it should be an experience that he never forgets.
