I mean, many Chelsea fans, pundits, former players, journalists, and others noticed this and said this MANY years back now. It was never going to work. You cannot fill a squad full of younger players and ignore leaders, strong mentalities, physical traits, and hire inexperienced managers to lead them. It was always doomed for failure.

Although, I don’t think Chelsea fans are going to like the wording in this article. Because we all know that we need to see big changes rather than little tweaks, which is what The Athletic are suggesting below.

So, within the article above, there is a quote that says:
‘As Chelsea approach the end of a fourth season under this ownership, acknowledgement is growing that a tweak is needed.’
Well, I’m afraid it’s going to need more than just tweaks. We need to see big changes. So you’re going to have to hold your hands up now and make them.
