Reigning ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel did what he does best to become a two-sport king once again in the main event of The Inner Circle on Friday, April 10.
The Sityodtong Amsterdam superstar earned a dominant unanimous decision victory over Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong to capture the vacant ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title, live in Asia primetime, inside Bangkok’s revered Lumpinee Stadium.
Eersel found his range right off the bat after a brief exchange of shots and caught “Legatron” with a clean head kick. It set the tone for the towering Amsterdam-based striker, who soon threw punches in bunches and snapping knees, working behind his length with ruthless efficiency.
Rungrawee tried to disrupt that rhythm by closing the distance with short punches, but “The Immortal” sneaked in knees to the body before wisely disengaging. In round two, the Thai switched things up and unleashed his trademark kicking game to test the Surinamese-Dutch warrior’s defense.
While he did have success there, Eersel managed to circle away from the crafty southpaw’s power shots and countered with punches to the head and body.
The 33-year-old increased a gear in round three, displaying incredible hand speed to disrupt Rungrawee. Soon, an uppercut, left hook, and right straight combo sent Rungrawee crashing to the canvas for an eight-count.

It was all one-way traffic in favor of Eersel in the championship rounds. The Surinamese-Dutch hero relied on volume to establish his dominance against the hardy Thai. He caught Rungrawee with a big straight right, who somehow stayed on his feet.
Eersel moved forward behind crafty combinations in search of another big knockdown. Though nothing materialized, his confidence grew every time he stepped into the pocket against the Sitsongpeenong affiliate.
His significant shots and relentless activity powered him across the scorecards for a decisive unanimous decision win. The victory marked Eersel’s 14th win in ONE Championship and upped his career slate to 65-5.
