Scheffler had the week off before the PGA Championship, and that was a very smart call as all of his rivals battled it out at Quail Hollow.
The man from Dallas, Texas, should be very fresh heading into Aronimink for the second major of the year.
And he has just been handed a huge boost by the PGA of America as well.
Schefflerās game seems to be ideally suited to the test that awaits him at Aronimink.
His precise driving and iron play mean that he could well be the man to beat this week, especially if the course firms up and the wind blows.
Scottie Scheffler is favored due to his recent performance, including three consecutive runner-up finishes and his previous victory at the tournament last year.

Would the 29-year-old have handpicked a better group than that? I honestly donāt think he would have.
Like Scheffler, Rose and Fitzpatrick are both very quiet and unassuming guys. They keep their heads down and go about their business in a real workmanlike manner.
Of course, there will be incredible amounts of attention on Scheffler regardless, but there always is anyway.
The great news for the world number one is that the majority of eyeballs will be on another group on the golf courseā¦
Rory McIlroy has been paired alongside Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth in what is undoubtedly the most blockbuster PGA Championship group.
The attention that group will garner will be off the scale.
So, while McIlroy has to deal with the thousands of fans and media members who will be concentrating on his group, Scheffler will be able to go about his business in more of a calm environment alongside Rose and Fitzpatrick.
Obviously it wonāt make a huge difference, but these seemingly small decisions can sometimes affect the outcome of a tournament.
Put it this way, Scottie Scheffler will be delighted with his group for the first two days of the PGA Championship.
The personalities of Fitzpatrick and Rose suit the 29-year-old so well. It really is hard to look past a Scottie Scheffler win this week at Aronimink.
