The Catalans previously sold part of his rights, meaning they would now need to negotiate a costly return if they decide to move seriously for him.
Meanwhile, Mika Godts of Ajax is quickly gaining admirers inside the club.
Barcelona scouts reportedly watched him closely during Ajax’s recent clash against PSV, where the young winger delivered an impressive performance, scoring and assisting.
His lower valuation compared to some of the other targets makes him an attractive option.
Two more names completing the shortlist are Andreas Schjelderup of SL Benfica and former Barcelona player Ez Abde, who has enjoyed an excellent spell at Real Betis.
Barcelona still retain a percentage of Abde’s rights, something that could help lower the overall cost if the club decides to bring him back.
