Well, looks like one guy didn't get the memo. As the Oklahoma City Thunder build up a 2-0 series lead over the Phoenix Suns, the latter has gone outside the court to hopefully build an advantage. The eighth seed is hoping to get a friendlier whistle in Games 3 and 4 as the Round 1 matchup commutes to Arizona.

Well, almost everybody is on the same page. Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green have all talked postgame about the officiating. To the point that Booker was handed a hefty fine for singling out NBA referee James Williams. The comments have gone viral on social media.

Anybody who follows the NBA playoffs knows that trying to game the referees is part of basketball's culture. We've seen plenty of teams crash out after games against the Thunder. You usually hear the same message — they get away with physical contact on defense and can't lay a hand on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or send him to the free-throw line.

While the data doesn't back it up, it doesn't matter to the NBA-sphere. As the Thunder have dominated the rest of the league over the last two seasons, they've paid the tax most teams in their spot historically have — opposing teams and fanbases believing they get built-in benefits.

Well, Oso Ighodaro has gone the other way. Starting the first two games as Mark Williams misses time with a foot injury, he believes the Suns can't constantly complain. Or risk getting sent home early. Jalen Williams' latest hamstring strain slightly opens the door to a competitive series. Game 3 will determine how this matchup plays out.

"I've seen all the stuff that's been going viral," Ighodaro said. "But if I'm being honest, we didn't lose the last game because of the officials."

Finally, someone on the Suns who's not trying to play a game within the game. The Thunder have a plus-48 point differential through the first two games of this Round 1 matchup. And with the fouls called and free-throw attempts roughly the same for both teams, this just feels like a lot of artificial crying that this David-Goliath matchup has played out exactly the way most thought it would.

"We have to be better. There are bad calls in both directions. I don't think that's going to change the game one way or another," Ighodaro said. "Obviously, we wish we got some of those calls, but we have to go after this thing. Press our advantages. Build on what we've built on all year, be extremely aggressive, play for each other and share the ball."

Let's see how Game 3 plays out. This will be the most interesting game of the Round 1 series. The Thunder will go back to playing without Williams. Perhaps that opening will give the Suns a chance to steal one and make things a little more interesting.
