With the 2026 NFL Training Camp period just around the corner, many Cleveland Browns fans are excited to see some of the teamâs newest additions take the field for the first time in the orange and brown.
While a majority of the attention will be focused on the quarterback battle between veteran Deshaun Watson and 2025 fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders, along with the newest rookies from the 2026 NFL Draft, Cleveland signed multiple undrafted free agents this offseason. And with the new youth movement sweeping through the Brownsâ organization, there are some names that fans should keep an eye on this offseason.
Here are three UDFAs that could make the Brownsâ 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season.
After posting a career-high seven sacks during the 2024 college football season, Florida defensive end Tyreak Sapp was widely considered a top name in the 2026 NFL Draft class before entering his final season with the Gators. Unfortunately for the stout defender, he saw a massive drop in production in 2025, ultimately leading to his going undrafted in April.
Still, Sappâs incredible showing during his junior season at Florida featured plenty of flashes that could translate to the NFL level. Standing 6-foot-3, 274 lbs., Sapp uses his size and strong frame to be an effective bull rusher, having found success against some of the best offensive tackles in the SEC throughout his college career. Out of all the undrafted free agents the Browns signed this offseason, Sapp is the most likely to crack the 53-man roster for the upcoming season.
Looking at some of the offensive rookies who signed with Cleveland this offseason, former LSU Tigers wide receiver Aaron Anderson has already begun to make a push for a roster spot during the teamâs rookie training camp period.
Similar to Sapp, Anderson had an impressive 2024 campaign that caught the attention of many NFL scouts (884 receiving yards and five touchdowns), but he took a huge step back in his final college season, causing him to go undrafted. However, despite his small frame (5-foot-8, 188 lbs.), the young pass catcherâs ability to create yards after the catch is a perfect fit for newly-hired head coach Todd Monkenâs , which could help him carve out a spot on the roster in 2026.

Tyreak Sapp recorded a career-high of seven sacks during the 2024 college football season before experiencing a decline in 2025.
The 2026 NFL Training Camp is crucial for the Browns as they evaluate new talent, including UDFAs, ahead of the upcoming season.

Another defensive signee that could make some noise throughout the Brownsâ training camp period is former Nevada and West Virginia cornerback Michael Coats Jr.
Before transferring to West Virginia for the 2025 college football season, Coats had an outstanding run with the Nevada Wolfpack in 2024, as he was named to the First-team All-Mountain West Conference Team after recording 13 pass breakups and four interceptions in 13 games. General manager Andrew Berry failed to address the slot cornerback position in the most recent draft, but Coatsâ aggressive style of play makes him a terrific fit for defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg.
