Three potential picks for the Miami Dolphins at #11 Overall

If/when the Dexter Lawrence trade is finalized, the New York Giants might become the sixth NFL team with two picks in the first round of the 2026 draft. The current list of five consists of the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins. It goes without saying that these teams could likely have a more interesting draft night than the rest of the league.

For now, we'll focus on the Phins, who are on the clock at #11 and again at #30, and currently in full on rebuilding mode, from top to bottom.

Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

This would be the pick to make if the front office wants to let the board come to them. When you're in total overhaul mode, taking the best player available can easily also overlap with filling a major team need.

Delane has long been regarded as the top corner available in this class, and he only solidified that status with the monster Pro Day he had last month. In running a blazing fast 4.35 in the 40-yard dash, Delane established himself as a top 15 overall prospect with a very high floor.

Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)

NFL Mock Draft Database has a Consensus NFL Mock Draft which indicates the most popular player projection for every slot. Mauigoa leads the way at #11, with 20% of the mocks out there projecting his selection. Any time the Dolphins draft someone out of the University of Miami, the transition is obviously more seamless than usual, due to the already familiar surroundings. And when you're starting over with a new GM, Head Coach and starting quarterback, you might want to balance out all those question marks with some degree of familiarity at other positions.

Mauigoa fits this bill, despite the fact that his position is far from the most pressing need for this club.

Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

Without a doubt, this is their top position of need in 2026. Tyreek Hill was released a couple months ago, after it became clear that he is no longer the same player he was before blowing out his knee.

However, drafting a wideout might not make sense at this specific point in the draft, given the lack of top end talent at this position. They could easily grab one at #30, which might be more sensical, but there is one exception. Given the private workout Tyson had on Friday, in front of reps from 20 different teams, he might not even be available at pick #11. Yes, it went that well!

His session consisted of only route running, but he impressed so much that he might go in the top seven or eight now. If he's off-the-boards, then Miami should wait to address the WR situation.
