The 2026 season is far from over for the No. 8 UCLA Bruins softball team but a trio of UCLA players just got some certainty that they’re headed to the pro level. On Saturday, three Bruin seniors got golden tickets from the AUSL.
The AUSL, or the Athletes Unlimited Softball League, gives out the golden tickets to college seniors to inform the player that they’ve been taken in the AUSL Draft. The draft itself is held on May 4th but the tickets gives players a heads up to keep their eyes peeled for a call from a team that evening.
The three UCLA players to receive the golden tickets were sluggers Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery, along with pitcher Taylor Tinsley. There’s been 14 golden tickets revealed, UCLA is the only college that has had three different players receive the golden tickets.
Grant, Woolery and Tinsely all are easy choices for the AUSL. Grant is having an insane season, batting .478 with 31 home runs and 70 RBIs. Woolery has been just as good, posting a .529 with 30 bombs and 100 RBIs. The two Bruin mashers have combined for 91 walks and just 21 strikeouts on the season.
Tinsely has been UCLA’s ace in the circle this season, posting a 23-3 record with a 2.55 earned run average. For her Bruin career, Tinsely has a 62-18 record and a 2.19 ERA over 482.1 innings pitched.
The AUSL Draft will begin 4:00p.m. Pacific Time on May 4th, with the draft airing on ESPN2.
