Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Jalen Williams has sustained a Grade 1 left hamstring strain injury, per reports.
The Thunder will re-evaluate Williams next week.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault had this to say about Williams' injury on Wednesday night.
"We think he aggravated his left hamstring," Daigneault said. "We'll take a look at it in the next couple of days, and we'll update you guys appropriately."
"Any assumption about time [missed] is just hypothetical at this point, so I'm not going to comment on that," Daigneault continued. "But I thought he was playing great obviously. He was on the gas. He had great force. He was hitting shots. Got really good shots for his teammates, especially early. So yeah, he was playing an outstanding game."
Williams underwent an MRI on Thursday on his hamstring after he left Wednesday's Game 2 in the third quarter. This diagnosis will likely rule out Williams for the next handful of postseason games.
However, there is a chance the Thunder buy him more time if they are able to sweep the Phoenix Suns, which they are on track to do. Oklahoma City leads the series over the Suns 2-0.

Williams missed significant time earlier this season due to a right hamstring strain. It sidelined him for 30 games while he was also recovering from wrist surgery in July 2025.
The 25-year-old only played 33 games in the regular season. In those games, Williams averaged 17.1 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from beyond the arc.
This season was the first time the star failed to play 65+ games. While that was the case, the Thunder still took care of business, earning the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the third consecutive time.
