Prosecutors will be allowed to request Tiger Woodsâ prescription drug records as part of Woodsâ DUI case, according to TC Palm.
Following Woodsâ rollover crash in March, in which he was charged with driving under the influence, Florida prosecutors filed a motion of intent to subpoena Woods to obtain his prescription drug records from a local pharmacy between the dates of Jan. 1, 2026 and March 27, 2026, the day of the crash. Woodsâ attorneys requested a hearing to determine the necessity of subpoenaing those records. That hearing took place Tuesday where, after both sides âagreed on a protective order governing the use and release of the records to shield them from public view,â a judge ruled prosecutors will be allowed to request said records, according to TC Palm.
Woods was driving early in the afternoon of March 27 when he collided with the back of a pickup truckâs trailer. Woodsâ car turned over on its driverâs side, and Woods was arrested on charges of DUI after appearing impaired and lethargic to responding officers. During his arrest, officers found two pills which were determined to be hydrocodone, an opioid narcotic typically prescribed for pain.
Prosecutors were granted access to Tiger Woods' prescription drug records as part of his DUI case after a court hearing.
The prescription drug records requested cover the period from January 1, 2026, to March 27, 2026, the day of Woods' rollover crash.
Both parties agreed to a protective order to shield Woods' prescription drug records from public view during the legal proceedings.

Woods has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has requested a jury trial.
Prosecutors announced that the subpoena for Woodsâ âprescription drug dispensary recordsâ would be filed on April 22. The prosecutors are seeking âany and all prescription medication on fileâ for Woods, including âdate and time prescription was filled, type of prescription, number of pills in each prescription, the dosage amount, all special instructions on how to take the medication, date of next refill, all warnings, including but not limited to operating a motor vehicle while taking the prescription.â
Woods has been involved in four separate traffic incidents that involved law enforcement, including a 2021 wreck in which he nearly lost his leg after flipping his car in California. Following this most recent wreck, Woods released a statement in which he said, âI know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.â
Woods missed the Masters several weeks later, and reportedly has or is seeking treatment at a facility in Europe. Woods will also miss this weekâs PGA Championship in suburban Philadelphia, which tees off Thursday.
