The Detroit Tigers have one of the best rookies in Major League Baseball in Kevin McGonigle this year, as he's been on a tear through the beginning of the season.

While Munetaka Murakami and Sal Stewart have been incredible this season, McGonigle has been the best rookie in baseball, according to a recent poll of MLB executives from MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

One rival American League executive shared their opinion of McGonigle, as he boldly claimed the Tigers' rookie looks like a "seasoned All-Star caliber player" right now, and even since his MLB debut.

"He looks like a seasoned All-Star-caliber player on Day 1," one American League exec said. Feinsand shared another voter for McGonigle as MLB's best rookie, who simply explained his vote with two words: "He rakes."

McGongile has been awesome this season. He's a versatile defender, playing both third base and shortstop for the Tigers this season.
