The Tennessee Titans began the 2026 offseason with a plethora of holes throughout their roster, beginning with the head coach. Robert Saleh was hired after a deep interview pool in January, following the firing of Brian Callahan in October 2025.
With the second-most salary cap space available entering free agency, the Titans proceeded to spend the most money to address needs at several positions. For many of the positions that still needed additions, they spent their eight draft selections on those positions. However, some positions are weaker than others, and ESPN hit the nail on the head about their weakest position following the NFL draft.
ESPN NFL analyst Aaron Schatz had the following to say about the Titans' biggest roster hole after the draft.
The Titans have plenty of bodies to throw at this problem, but none of them are established starters. Former Bengals starter Cordell Volson missed all of last season with a shoulder injury, but before that, he ranked 61st out of 64 qualifying guards in pass block win rate in 2024. Jackson Slater, a 2025 fifth-round pick, didn't start a game as a rookie, and the Titans didn't select an offensive lineman in this year's draft until Fernando Carmona in the fifth round.
After posting a solid season as a 35-year-old starter at right guard in Tennessee, became a free agent. As of now, he remains available while the Titans have a question at that position. They signed Cordell Volson this offseason, but last season's developmental rookie, Jackson Slater, is expected to get an opportunity.

It is risky, especially with a young quarterback, but the Titans are a rebuilding team looking to develop young talent in many positions. However, if the Titans feel unsure about their options during training camp, and Zeitler remains unsigned, expect a reunion to fill that hole.
