The biggest question facing every WNBA team in training camp
WNBA training camps open with key questions for each team.
The Tennessee Titans are looking to enhance their roster for 2026 by potentially trading for a high-profile player worth $120 million to support quarterback Cam Ward. Despite a tough 2025 season, there are signs of improvement, but the current receiving corps may not be sufficient for success.

The Tennessee Titans are hoping to be much improved in 2026.
The team suffered through another miserable season in 2025, but there were some positive signs, especially from quarterback Cam Ward. However, it will be hard for Ward to recognize his true potential if the team doesn't improve his supporting cast.
If the season began tomorrow, the team would have Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Elic Ayomanor as the starting receivers. That's probably not good enough, and the team would be wise to add some reinforcements.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently identified some trades that could happen before the season begins, and one involves the Titans trading for a disgruntled star.
Knox suggests the Titans trade a 2027 sixth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Regarding this potential deal, Knox offered the following:
While most expected Aiyuk to be released at the start of the new league year, that hasn't happened. It seems that San Francisco is hoping that it can still recoup some value via a trade.
The Tennessee Titans would be a logical landing spot for Aiyuk if they don't load up on receiver help during the draft. Tennessee needs pieces around second-year quarterback Cam Ward, and head coach Robert Saleh spent last season as San Francisco's defensive coordinator.
As Knox mentioned, the 49ers seem to be in no hurry to move on from Aiyuk, even though the two sides have been unhappy for a long time now. Perhaps the Titans would be willing to toss a late-round pick to ensure they get the receiver over teams who could be interested if he's released.
Aiyuk has not played since 2024, and even in that season, he only played in seven games. In Aiyuk's last healthy season, 2023, he caught 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. That year, Aiyuk earned Second-team All-Pro honors.
Other than the injury-shortened 2024 season, Aiyuk has had at least 700 yards in each of his seasons and crossed the 1,000-yard mark twice. There's no denying he would be a difference maker for the Titans, assuming he's healthy and wants to play.
Perhaps Aiyuk would be intrigued by playing for Robert Saleh, as the two were together in San Francisco. Aiyuk would also have one of the most promising quarterbacks in the league throwing him the ball.
The specific name of the disgruntled star has not been disclosed, but it is suggested that the Titans are considering a significant trade to bolster their roster.
The Titans experienced a difficult season in 2025, struggling overall, which highlighted the need for improvements in their supporting cast for quarterback Cam Ward.
The proposed trade weapon for Cam Ward is valued at $120 million, indicating a significant investment in enhancing the team's performance.
