Three teams from the Greater Western Ohio Conference are ranked in the top 11 of the OHSBCA state polls, with Springboro at third, Beavercreek at sixth, and Centerville at 11th. All teams completed unbeaten weeks in league play, with their first matchup scheduled for April 27.
Apr. 13—Three Greater Western Ohio Conference teams are in the top-11 of the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association poll released Monday.
Springboro, Beavercreek and Centerville all received votes in the Division I top-20 after completing unbeaten weeks of league play.
Springboro, the 2025 state runner-up, is ranked third after its 7-0 to start this season. The Panthers received one second place and 10 third place votes.
Beavercreek is ranked sixth in the poll. The Beavers are 7-1 overall and received two third place and three fourth and fifth place votes, respectively. Centerville comes in 11th with its 6-2 start to the season.
The first game between those three teams occurs April 27 when Beavercreek plays at Springboro.
Lakota West (6-2) is also ranked 20th in the first D-I poll.
Three Miami Valley League teams are also ranked in the top-10 of their respective polls. Troy (8-0) is fourth in the D-II poll, with Butler (8-0) third and Tippecanoe (8-3) eighth in the D-III poll.
Badin (4-3) is ranked sixth in the D-III poll.
Elsewhere, Coldwater (6-1) is seventh in the D-V rankings, with Anna (6-0) ranked 10th, Carlisle (5-3) 18th, and Versailles (7-3) in a four-way tie for 20th.
St. Henry (8-0) starts in second for D-VI, and Mechanicsburg (6-0) is seventh. Minster (4-1) is fourth in D-VII, Fort Loramie (6-3) comes in seventh, Newton (4-3) is 12th, and Russia (3-3) is 13th.
Springboro is ranked third, Beavercreek is sixth, and Centerville is 11th in the OHSBCA state polls.
The first game between Springboro and Beavercreek is scheduled for April 27.
Springboro has a record of 7-0 at the start of the season.
