The NBA Draft Lottery results have set the stage for Cameron Boozer's potential destinations in the 2026 NBA Draft, with the Utah Jazz holding the No. 2 overall pick. However, the Jazz may not select Boozer due to a crowded frontcourt and other promising prospects.
The results of the NBA Draft Lottery were revealed Sunday afternoon, shaking up the top three in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft.
Now that these selections have been finalized (barring any trades), here are the three most likely destinations for Naismith Award winner and ACC Player of the Year Award winner Cameron Boozer.
Although the Jazz hold the No. 2 overall selection, it seems unlikely the former Blue Devil will be drafted by his father's former team. Not only does Darryn Peterson (Kansas) have tremendous upside, but the Jazz also have a crowded frontcourt, to say the least. This includes Lauri Markkanen, the recently acquired Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, another Duke alum in Kyle Filipowski and last year's No. 5 overall selection Ace Bailey. Three of those five players are 24 and younger, with the exception of Jackson Jr. (26), who is a former No. 4 overall selection, and Markkanen (28), who was taken seventh.
If the Grizzlies opt to select Caleb Wilson (North Carolina) over Boozer, Chicago would be the next logical destination. This would be another full-circle moment for the Boozer family, considering Cameron's father Carlos spent four seasons with the Bulls as well. At this point in the draft, Boozer would be by far the best player remaining, and he would fit Chicago's roster perfectly, alongside 21-year-old small forward and 23-year-old point guard . If available, this selection would be a slam dunk. However, Boozer could easily be selected prior by the next team on this list.
The top three teams likely to draft Cameron Boozer are the Utah Jazz, the team with the No. 2 overall pick, along with two other teams yet to be specified.

After trading away Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies could stand to add a young power forward to the frontcourt. Boozer would slot in quite nicely next to Cedric Coward (small forward) and Zach Edey (center). Of the current Grizzlies power forwards, Santi Aldama tends to come off the bench, while Brandon Clarke has been injured as of late, playing just six games last season and appearing in just 72 contests over the past three years. Lastly, Boozer would aid a Grizzlies team that shot 35.3% from deep last season, ninth worst in the league. While Chicago may be the best fit for the 2025-26 Wooden Award winner, he may not fall that far.
