Tottenham Hotspur Are In Talks To Land This Bournemouth Defender: Good Choice For Spurs?
In a recent report, The Telegraph claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to land Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Argentine talent to North London on a free transfer this summer.
Senesi has enjoyed a good run of form at the English club as he has produced a series of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 28-year-old has failed to register a goal but has secured four assists in 34 matches for Bournemouth this season across all competitions.
The Argentine talent is currently among the best centre-backs in the Premier League. Hence, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him later this year.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Tottenham to snap him up this summer.

Senesi is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesnât mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well from the back.
Standing at 1.84m, the Argentine sensation can use his strong 1.84m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air. He has already proven himself in the Premier League and wonât take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.
We can expect Senesi to bring more bite and steel to Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbiâs defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.
At 28, Senesi is about to enter his prime, which makes him a decent choice for Tottenham to pursue in the short-term. The Argentine talent might even help the London giants get back to challenging for a top-half finish in the Premier League over the next few years. Furthermore, he is on an expiring contract, so Spurs would be wise to go all out to recruit him on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.
