Tottenham Hotspur Are In Talks To Sign This Bournemouth Defender: What Will He Add To De Zerbi’s Side?
In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi. It has been claimed that Spurs are eager to get a deal done for the Argentine centre-back this summer.
Senesi has enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in this campaign as he has put in a run of solid performances at the heart of their defence. The 28-year-old has made 35 appearances for the Cherries this season, securing five assists in the process across multiple competitions.
The Argentine talent is currently one of the best central defenders in the Premier League, so Spurs would do well to lure him to North London in the upcoming transfer window.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out at the end of this campaign, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Senesi is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive.
The Argentine defensive ace can use his strong 1.84m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham if they can find a way to recruit him.
We can expect Senesi to add more bite and steel to Spurs head coach Robert De Zerbi’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club.
At 28, Senesi is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to pursue in the upcoming transfer window. He might even help Tottenham get back to challenging for European football in the Premier League over the next few years. All in all, De Zerbi would be wise to try everything in his power to lure Senesi to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this off-season as long as he can get him for a reasonable price.
