Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven would choose Liverpool over Manchester United if the Anfield club join the race for his services this summer, according to journalist and transfer insider Ben Jacobs. Man United have been recently linked with the Dutchman as they eye defensive reinforcements at the Old Trafford club. However, Jacobs is confident that Van de Ven will pick Liverpool over them as the opportunity to play alongside Reds captain Virgil van Dijk at club level appeals to him.
“The bad news for Man United on Micky van de Ven is,” the transfer expert told The United Stand.
“If Liverpool enter the race, Van de Ven is only making one decision between Liverpool and Manchester United, and he is picking Liverpool. And I say that with absolute confidence.”
