Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Tottenham aren’t planning to let Vuskovic leave. He’s been one of the standout defenders in the Bundesliga for Hamburg. Tottenham see him as a key part of their plans for the future whatever league that is in, obviously they want that to be in the Premier League.
“He’s under contract until 2030 and Tottenham are preparing to offer him a new and improved deal to fend off growing interest from Europe’s top clubs. You’ve got the likes of Bayern Munich, Man United, and all looking at Vuskovic. Spurs wanted for him to get regular first team football ready to come back and challenge for a place in the Tottenham side and that’s what I fully expect them to do next season. Spurs have no plans to lose him.”

Alongside both Bayern Munich and Liverpool, a number of elite European clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on Vuskovic’s performances this season.
His impressive form at Hamburg means despite Spurs’ reluctance to sell, there are no shortage of suitors for the centre-back, and clubs could look to lure him away. It would likely take a mint to procure Vušković and right now, that does not seem like something that will happen for Bayern Munich this summer. While the Bavarians will not likely be able to get the young Croatian, they could take a close look at upgrading the position as there is at least some doubt regarding the futures of Kim Min-jae and Hiroki Itō. *If you are looking for more Bayern Munich and German national team coverage, check out the latest episodes of Bavarian Podcast Works, which you can get on Acast, Spotify, Apple, or any leading podcast distributor…*
