Tottenham Hotspur have expressed their interest in signing Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford in the summer transfer window. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are preparing for life without Guglielmo Vicario even if they survive relegation, and Trafford has emerged as target. However, Spurs are not the only ones keen on the England international, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle United also interested in his services. The 23-year-old will consider his future in the summer after losing his starting spot to Gianluigi Donnarumma, but he will not be joining Tottenham should they drop to the Championship.
Man City manager Pep Guardiola claimed back in August that Trafford is āa strong man and huge personality,ā and he will not be short of suitors in the summer. He has made 14 appearances in all competitions this term, playing in all their Carabao Cup games, which culminated in victory over in the final. Spurs could do with such a solid goalie going forward, but they need to retain their top-flight status to boost their chances of pipping competition to his services.
In addition to Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United are also interested in signing James Trafford.
