Franklin blasted five home runs on the way to a 13-2 win against Chaminade Julienne in the Division III softball tournament on Thursday, May 14.
Adrian Allenâs long ball was a grand slam that ended the game in the fifth inning for the Wildcats. Allen set two school records in the process, now holding the record for career home runs and career RBI.
Heidi Brooks, Peyton Everitt, Kydee Shults and Meredith Zehring also went yard, with Zehring registering her 100th career hit.
It marks the second straight season Franklin has eliminated CJ in the opening round.
Franklin moved to 15-13 overall and advance to face Sidney on Tuesday, May 19. CJ finishes the year at 10-8.

Northmont 12, Wayne 2: Jayden Snyder drove in three runs, Chase Fuduloff tacked on two hits with two RBI and Northmont won its seventh out of the last eight games.
Badin 4, Springboro 1: Austin Vangen knocked in a pair of runs, Carson Lowe picked up the win in relief and Badin improved to 20-3 overall. The Rams will carry a 16-game win streak into a game against Centerville at Great American Ball Park on Saturday, May 16.
Carroll 2, Xenia 0: Joseph Weston doubled in both runs while Aaron McGlothen tallied 12 strikeouts in a complete game shutout to help Carroll pick up the win on senior night.
Chaminade Julienne 4, Piqua 0: Isaac Sullivan struck out 15 in a complete game shutout and Harris Vogelgesang doubled and drove in two runs for CJ.
Butler 17, Greenville 0: Jackson Schilling and Carson Heis tallied three hits with five RBI apiece to pace Butler in a bounceback win. The Aviators improved to 21-4 with the win.
Sidney 8, Indian Lake 2: Draven Ferguson and Brooks Taylor knocked in two runs apiece and Jordan Shipe struck out eight in a complete game for Sidney.
Tecumseh 8, Northeastern 3: Reid Olinger drove in two runs off two hits and Carter Olinger had three runs scored to help Tecumseh win a fifth straight game.
Middletown Madison 21, Purcell Marian 5: Carson Cresong earned PNC Bank MVP honors after striking out 10 for Madison in a Reds Futures High School Showcase game.
Brookville 12, Franklin Monroe 5: Lucas Horn and Blake Sprada pushed across three runs apiece to pace Brookville.
Ross 8, Kings 2: Griffin Mueller plunked a home run and Ross recorded a senior night win.
Eaton 6, Coldwater 4: Haydn Scott slapped a pair of doubles, driving in three runs to lead Eaton.
Arcanum 5, Marion Local 2: Regan Christ struck out 12 over seven innings to go with a three-hit day with two runs scored for Arcanum.
Dixie 22, Catholic Central 1: Noah Thompson lined three doubles on the day, finishing with five RBI to pace Dixie.
Mechanicsburg 8, Riverside 1: Conner Eyink doubled and drove in three runs, Crew Lafary had three hits with three runs scored and âBurg got a bounce-back win to improve to 19-2 overall.
The final score was 13-2 in favor of Franklin.

Ross 14, Badin 3: Kam Commins blasted a three-run homer, becoming the all-time leader in home runs for Ross in the process and Meadow Webb recorded her 100th career hit in the upset win. Kendall Ponatoski homered in the loss for Badin, which closed the season at 24-3.
Bellbrook 18, Belmont 0: Mackenzie Walts slammed two home runs, driving in five runs while Addyson Bird and Lauren Nicholson combined on the shutout for Bellbrook.
Wilmington 2, Talawanda 1: Lauren Diels dealt 10 strikeouts in a complete game and Morgan Mertz drove in both runs to lead Wilmington. Talawanda finishes the season at 21-6.

Kenton Ridge 40, Meadowdale 0: Ivee Rastatter pitched a perfect game, striking out all batters including an immaculate inning. Eight players had multiple RBI, 11 players scored multiple runs and Kenton Ridge improved to 26-0 with its 58th consecutive victory.
Brookville 7, Middletown Madison 6: Rylan Eagle and Maya Haydon pushed across a pair of runs apiece, with Eagle also picking up the win in the circle as Brookville scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win.
Greenon 16, Bethel 11: Peyton Walker tallied three hits with four RBI and Anna Becker had four hits with a double and three RBI to lead Greenon.

Houston 12, Fort Recovery 11: Lauryn Crim launched the first pitch she saw in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off home run for Houston. Alexis Grisez hit a grand slam in the loss for Fort Recovery.
West Liberty-Salem 22, Twin Valley South 8: Karlee Lucas and Kierston Stoll each doubled and drove in four runs to pace WLS.
