DOVER - Sophomore Paige Pelletier had two hits and six RBIs as the St. Thomas Aquinas softball team won its seventh straight game with a 17-2 win over Hillsboro-Deering in a Division III game on Tuesday, May 12.

Sophomore Hailey Anzmann struck out eight, allowed three and two unearned runs, earning the win. Anzmann and freshman Mollie Gaynor both had three hits, one RBI and scored three runs.
Sophomore Mattie Williams hit a grand slam, her first home run, in St. Thomas' 10-run second. Olivia Semprini had three hits and scored two runs for the Saints, while Libby Barbour had two hits, one RBI and two runs.

GORHAM, Maine - Sam Gennaro had two hits and one RBI for Marshwood in its Class A South loss. Gavin Villineau scored the lone Marshwood run in the seventh inning.

DOVER - Grady Howe and Zech Beal both drove in three runs, and Andrew Earwood drove in two for Portsmouth Christian (6-3) in its Division IV win.
Howe struck out nine and allowed one run over four innings, earning the win. Brayden Leland had three hits, scored three runs and drove in one in the win.
Paige Pelletier had two hits and six RBIs in the game.

DOVER - Grady Estes' two goals and two assists led Division II St. Thomas (7-3) to this win over Division I Windham. It was the sixth straight win for the Saints, who trailed 4-0 after the first quarter.
Luke Daly had one goal and two assists for the Saints, while Owen Clark and Ryan Resch both had one goal and one assist, and Colby Tasker, Mike Flood and Cam Aceto all had one goal.
STA goalie Jake More had 19 saves, and Rhys Sullivan was 9-for-13 on faceoffs.

PORTLAND, Maine - Liam Haggerty's team-high three goals led Class B Marshwood past Class A Cheverus.
Hayden Demeroto had two goals and three assists for the Hawks, now 6-1. Drake Anderson added two goals in the win, and Rogan Boisvert (goal, two assists), Robert Williams (goal), Asher Watts (goal) and Chad Anderson (goal) all figured in the scoring.

In doubles, the Lopez brothers won 8-0 at No. 1, Weete and Beauregard won 8-2 at No. 2, and Aidan McCann and John Tran won 8-0 at No. 3.

YORK, Maine - Colin Topping and Brendan Barron won 6-2, 7-6 at No. 2 doubles for the lone win for York (4-2) in this Class B South match.
Exeter wins four events, second at meet
NASHUA - Karlee Norris won the 300 hurdles (51.01 seconds) and was third in the 100 hurdles (18.24), leading Exeter to a second-place finish at a three-team meet at Nashua North.
North won the meet with 76 points, while Exeter (67) and Memorial (27) placed second and third, respectively.
Exeter's Emma Hamilton won the 1,600 (6:06.36), Samantha Gutowski won the discus (104 feet, 5 inches) and Leia Kim won the javelin (76-4).
Exeter's Caroline Bowie was second in both the javelin (75-7) and 1,600 (6:11.45), Martelle McBride was second in the 200 (26.64) and third in the triple jump (32-04), Sydney MacVicar was second in the 100 hurdles (16.52) and third in the high jump (4-6), and Autumn Fabiano was second in the discus (97-11) and third in the shot put (33-2.5).
Other top-three performances turned in by Exeter included Finley Mason (second, pole vault, 8-2), Lucille Beem (second, shot put, 35-2.5), Hazel Surrette (second, 100, 13.51), Anne Lundquist (second, 800, 2:47.2), Aubrie Proulx (third, javelin, 68-11) and Lily Biron (third, 100, 13.62).
Exeter wins three events in tri-meet
NASHUA - Exeter's Frankie Zagami won the 800 (2:13.59), Gavyn Daley won the 200 (23.09) and Thomas Eastwood won the pole vault (11-7) at a tri-meet at Nashua North High School.
Nashua North won with a team score of 93.5, while Memorial (46) and Exeter (27.5) placed second and third, respectively.
Other top-five performances turned in by Exeter included Nate Tomasi (second, high jump, 5-8), Kai Hollar (second, pole vault, 10-6), Jack Thibodeau (second, javelin, 129-0), Austin Reeve (third, 800, 2:20.1) and Hugh Lynch (fourth, 110 hurdles, 18.45).
