Dane Brugler's latest mock draft includes two Washington Huskies, with left tackle Carver Willis projected to be picked by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round at No. 215 overall. Willis showcased versatility at his Pro Day, taking reps at guard and center.
As the NFL draft draws closer, analysts from around the country are settling on their final mock drafts for the seven-round event that will take place over three days in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from April 23-25. On Wednesday, The Athletic's Dane Brugler released a seven-round mock draft that included a pair of Washington Huskies who haven't found their names in most other predictive drafts.
First, Brugler placed left tackle Carver Willis with the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round with the No. 215 overall pick. The Kansas State transfer took a visit to Atlanta in March as the organization looks for help along the offensive line after the retirement of former UW star and first-round pick Kaleb McGary.
While Willis probably won't wind up at tackle at the next level, as he's shown off his versatility through the pre-draft process, taking reps at both guard and center during his Pro Day and at the Senior Bowl, that would be an ideal landing spot for him, where he'd have an opportunity to protect another first-round pick from UW, quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
"Really, really impressed by the organization and the coaching staff," Willis said of his visit to Atlanta on the Locked On Huskies podcast.
While cornerbacks Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock, along with running back and wide receiver Denzel Boston, all came off the board much earlier, Brugler made a first-time inclusion in his mock, giving defensive tackle Anterio Thompson to the with the No. 241 overall pick.

Thompson has become a popular prospect in the last few weeks leading up to the draft, taking visits to see both the Bears and Green Bay Packers, along with a local trip to the Seattle Seahawks.
As Chicago looks to add depth to its defensive front, Thompson, who recorded 30 tackles, 2.5 for loss, with 1.5 sacks during his one year on Montlake, has the athletic profile to continue developing into a rotational piece along the interior of the defensive line at the NFL level.
