Glasnow allowed a leadoff homer in his outing Wednesday, but bounced back by recording his 1,000th and 1,001st strikeout and finishing the inning without any further damage. Before the second inning started, though, he called the trainer out after a warm-up pitch and left the game. The Dodgers revealed he felt some pain in his lower back shortly after.
The Athleticās Fabian Ardaya reported Glasnow felt his back give out, and the issue didnāt get better after the next pitch he threw.
Glasnow has dealt with back injuries throughout his three seasons with the Dodgers, as he spent some time on the injured list in 2024 with a back issue and had to skip a start towards the latter end of last season.
The Dodgers havenāt announced whether or not Glasnow will need to head to the injured list, but Manager Dave Roberts doesnāt expect that to be the case.
The right-hander has struggled to stay healthy altogether during his tenure in , making just 46 regular season starts since the Dodgers signed him ahead of the 2024 season.
