When No. 1 overall recruit Tyran Stokes decided on the Kansas Jayhawks over the Kentucky Wildcats, the moment was a cause for celebration. The generational talent made his announcement on the ESPN set of Inside the NBA and created instant buzz for Bill Self's program.

Stokes went directly from Atlanta to Lawrence right after his commitment in an effort to settle into college life. In a recent Instagram post, he showed off the campus and even had time to air out a stack of dead presidents. Needless to say, his transition to being at Kansas is still in progress.

Kansas' recruiting class is one of the best in the nation with Stoke leading the way. He's expected to be a one-and-done player under Self and enter the 2027 NBA Draft. Most prospects of his caliber take a similar route, which is a blessing and a curse. There's no real development for the NBA or college side, but it's the most direct path to the league.
