Tyson Fury reveals who he wants to fight if Anthony Joshua bout doesn’t happen

A long-awaited clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has been discussed for years, with renewed hope that the all-British showdown could finally take place in 2026.

Momentum has grown following Fury’s victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday night, after which ‘The Gypsy King’ directly called out Joshua in person.

With talks seemingly progressing, anticipation continues to build, but Fury has already made it clear he is prepared with an alternative should the fight collapse once again.

Speaking at the post-fight press conference, Fury made his intentions clear regarding his immediate future in the heavyweight division.

“I wanna fight Anthony Joshua. That’s it. Or, if AJ doesn’t want it, let’s get the Usyk trilogy. But I need some f—— fair play,” he stated.

‘The Gypsy King’ has lost to Oleksandr Usyk twice and retired after his latest defeat to the unbeaten Ukrainian.

Now, after returning to the ring, he seems eager to have a third chance against the heavyweight champion.

Oleksandr Usyk has already hinted at potential Fury trilogy

Usyk has previously outlined his own plans, which could naturally lead back to Fury.

The Ukrainian has stated he wants to face the winner of Daniel Dubois versus Fabio Wardley after his bout with Rico Verhoeven, which is set to take place on 23 May.

He has also suggested a trilogy with Fury could serve as the final chapter of his career, calling the Briton ‘greedy belly’.
