UCLA football has secured a commitment from four-star safety Pole Moala for the 2027 recruiting class. Moala, ranked as the No. 28 safety in the nation, previously played at Leuzinger High School and has received offers from 25 universities, including Texas and Ohio State.
UCLA football continues to turn around their program with four-star safety Pole Moala committing to the program on April 12, according to college football reporter Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
As of April 14, Rivals has Moala ranked as the No. 28 safety, the No. 339 best prospect in the nation and 32nd best player in California for the 2027 recruiting class. The young safety played played at Leuzinger High School for the past two seasons, before the 6-foot and 185 pounds Moala transferred to Santa Margarita Catholic high school in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., according to 247Sports.
Moala took snaps on both sides of the ball with time as a cornerback, safety, running back and receiver in 2025. On defense he had 45 tackles, seven pass break ups, three interceptions and a forced fumble. While on offense, he caught six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown, plus a kick return for a touchdown on special teams, according to 247Sports.
The future Bruin also has a history of being a multi-sport athlete with experience in Track and Field.
Moala received offers from a whopping 25 other universities with teams like Texas, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and USC all being among the crowd to extend and offer. The commitment of the four star prospect, only elevates the expectations UCLA will have in the future as the Bruins new head coach Bob Chesney continues to flip the roster.
