The college baseball postseason picture is becoming clearer as the final week of the regular season has arrived.
UCLA has dominated the Big Ten, while Georgia won the SEC with a 4.5-game lead, and Georgia Tech holds a two-game lead over North Carolina. The Yellow Jackets will face Boston College in a pivotal series this week.
That is all reflected in this week's USA TODAY Network Super 16 college baseball poll.
One conference race to watch is in Sun Belt as Coastal Carolina now holds a one-game lead over Southern Miss. After an ugly five-game stretch, the Chanticleers, who fell out of the rankings, are trying to cling on as a regional host, while the Golden Eagles are hoping to earn a coveted top-eight national seed.
West Virginia, which rejoined the rankings after sweeping Kansas, is in a similar situation as the Mountaineers trailed the Jayhawks by one game for the Big 12 title. WVU’s series against TCU will be a must-watch for the college baseball world this weekend.
Other notable series to watch this weekend include Miami vs. Florida State, Georgia vs. Auburn, Ole Miss vs. Alabama, Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M and Oregon vs. USC.
