UFC is heading to Philadelphia for its August numbered event.
On Aug. 15, the promotion brings UFC 330 to Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, returning to the city for the first time since 2019. UFC announced the date and location for the event Tuesday. No fights were officially announced for the event, which will broadcast on Paramount+.
While no matchups were announced, a press release from the promotion states the card will host a championship fight, the first in Philadelphia since UFC 133: Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz 2 in 2011.
"Philadelphia is hosting some of the biggest sporting events this year as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary," said UFC CEO Dana White in the release. "It's been fifteen years since the UFC brought a numbered event to the city, so now is the perfect time to go back. Philadelphia has always been a great fight town, and I can't wait to return."
The UFC has hosted five events in the City of Brotherly Love. The most recent trip was UFC on ESPN 2 in March 2019, where Justin Gaethje knocked out Edson Barboza in a rare one-round Fight of the Night at the then-named Wells Fargo Center.
UFC 330 is scheduled for August 15.
