It was a high-paced and fun heavyweight scrap from the outset at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As it wore on, though, it became evident Boser (22-11-1 MMA, 5-6 UFC) was relying heavily on his durability to keep himself in the fight.
After rocking his opponent multiple times, Saricam (12-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) finally knocked Boser down, then put him unconscious with a flurry of ground-and-pound strikes for the knockout at the 4:43 mark of Round 2.

After delivering a finish in his first promotional effort, Saricam said he brought a shoulder injury into the fight. He played up to the Canadian crowd, praising Boser for his effort.
"All respect to Tanner – he's much tougher than I thought. He really came to fight," Saricam said in his post-fight interview with Paul Felder. "Don't be upset, Winnipeg. The guy who is going to knock me out is not born yet, so it's not Tanner's fault."
