The NC State Wolfpack to UNC Tar Heels pipeline is pretty much nonexistent.
But now, in this era of the wild, crazy, overloaded transfer portal -- even this is possible.
NC State's Matt Able no longer plays for the Wolfpack. He has committed to the Tar Heels, according to On3 Sports' Joe Tipton.

Able is the first former NC State player to transfer to UNC since World War II.

Fleischman shared that the three prior to do so were the long ago Bernie Mock, Fred Swartzberg and Bones McKinney.
Able, for his part, is a major get for the Tar Heels.
He was a top-20 recruit in the Class of 2025 before joining NC State, and he went on to average 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 35.5% from 3-point range.
Able is a lanky guard, measuring 6-foot-6, and likely has aspirations of playing in the NBA. To further those goals, he joins new UNC coach Michael Malone, whose vast basketball coaching experience is mostly in the pros.
