UNC has six teams remaining in the hunt for a national title this weekend

UNC proudly sponsors 28 Olympic sports, five of which compete in NCAA tournaments at the moment. Four of them play over the the next four days, with baseball, ranked 2nd nationally, starting a three game series against NC State later today. Women’s golf earlier this week secured a spot in next week’s NCAA Championship.

In the Learfield Director’s Cup standings, UNC currently sits third behind Michigan and Stanford as the winter sports wind to a close. With so many UNC sports pushing deep into NCAA championships, and baseball poised to make its own post-season run, UNC could make up a lot of ground.

UNC Women’s Tennis, a national 5th seed, plays in the NCAA’s “Elite Eight” Friday, facing 4-seed Texas AM. Links to coverage should be available here.

UNC Men’s Golf, ranked 9th nationally and a 2 seed, plays in the 16-team Texas AM regional. The top five teams after three rounds advance to the NCAA Championship that starts May 29 in Carlsbad, CA. You can stream coverage of the event here.

UNC Women’s Golf, ranked 12th nationally, hosted an NCAA regional earlier this week and finished 3rd. The women advance to the NCAA Championship that starts next Wednesday, May 22, in Carlsbad, CA. You can stream coverage of the event .
