Manchester City is set to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
USC men's basketball team welcomes back Jacob Cofie for the 2026-2027 season, adding to their strong roster. Cofie, a 6-foot-10 forward, averaged nearly 10 points and 6.8 rebounds last season.
The good news keeps on coming for the USC Trojans men's basketball team. Not only have the Trojans been hitting it out of the park with transfers, they have also gotten key players back. First was Rodney Rice. More recently, Jacob Cofie will be returning for the 2026-2027 season.
Cofie was another successful transfer story. He joined the Trojans after playing his freshman season with Virginia. During his first season at USC, there was growth in his game, and on some nights he displayed he could be the Trojans' best guy on the court.
Cofie last season as a sophomore in 32 games averaged just under 10 points per game, shot 51.0% from the field, and had 6.8 rebounds per game. He is a 6-foot-10 forward who is a very nice two-way player. This past season, he averaged 1.8 blocks per game and was no stranger to getting steals either. Maybe his best game of the season came in his debut for the Trojans, where he posted 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
He is an athletic forward who has very high upside. Now with movement on this team and more confidence under Eric Musselman, he could be due for a big year. At the very least, a front court that now includes Cofie and Eric Reibe is one that is very intimidating for opponents.
Eric Musselman has done a great job cultivating this roster for next season, not only bringing in new talent to upgrade the roster but also maintaining talent that had success last season. Jacob Cofie is a big return for the Trojans, and as of right now USC is looking to be very competitive in the Big Ten next season.
