USC men's basketball has signed five-star recruit Christian Collins, the No. 5 overall player in the class of 2026. This signing contributes to USC's historic recruiting class, now ranked No. 3 nationally.
Last month, USC men’s basketball landed a commitment from five-star recruit Christian Collins. The No. 5 overall recruit in the class of 2026, he chose the Trojans over Kentucky and Louisville. On Sunday, Collins made it official, signing with USC.
“We are so excited to announce the addition of Christian Collins to the USC basketball team," head coach Eric Musselman said in a statement. “Christian becomes the third incoming McDonald's All-American, and he gives us back-to-back local LA area McDonald's All-Americans. Our Trojan fan base will fall in love with Christian's competitive spirit. He provides us with elite athleticism and a will to win. Christian comes from a winning pedigree, having won everywhere he's been throughout high school and AAU. Christian is a true positionless basketball fit. Christian can play all over the floor and guard multiple positions.”
With the addition of Collins, the Trojans are now bringing in No. 3 recruiting class in the country, per Rivals’s rankings. That is tied for the highest-ranked recruiting class in school history.
In addition to high school recruiting, USC has also been active in the transfer portal, landing several notable additions. After disappointing seasons in his first two years in Los Angeles, Musselman is loading up on talent with the hope that next year will look very different for the Trojans.
