USC womenâs basketball is loading up on the recruiting trail this offseason. However, the Women of Troy are not only adding high school players. This past week, they signed their first transfer portal addition of the cycle in Florida Stateâs Pania Davis.
After starting her college career at the junior college level, Davis spent the 2025-2026 season with the Seminoles. She averaged 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest in 31 games.
âPania will be such a dynamic new part of our frontcourt," USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb said in a statement. "Her length, athleticism, mobility and skill all fit not only a need for us, but our style of play. In addition to her abilities, she brings an experience, maturity and mindset that will help elevate us. What an incredible person, I know our Trojan fans will love cheering for her in Galen!â
Davis is originally from Perth, Australia. She is actually USCâs second Australian addition this offseason, joining five-star recruit Sitaya Fagan.
Could this lead Women of Troy become popular in a country nearly 10,000 miles away? I guess we will find out soon enough. Regardless of their popularity in Australia, however, the Trojans should have a great team next season, something that should excite USC fans in Los Angeles (and everywhere else that the team is set to play).
