Quentin Moore will head to the other Washington to look for an NFL opportunity.
The former Huskies tight end signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Washington Commanders on Saturday following the conclusion of the NFL Draft. He signed after watching seven of his teammates - wide receiver Denzel Boston, cornerback Tacario Davis, running back Jonah Coleman, offensive lineman Carver Willis, cornerback Ephesians Prysock, defensive tackle Anterio Thompson, and edge rusher Zach Durfee - hear their names called in the draft over the last two days.
Described by head coach Jedd Fisch as the best blocking tight end Fisch has been around in college, Moore began his career at Independence Community College in Kansas before joining the Huskies ahead of the 2022 season. Across four seasons - including a 2024 season that was limited to one game due to a knee injury - Moore only had 13 receptions for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns, but his impact as a blocker was much bigger than his counting stats can convey.
Moore frequently told the media that he would rather make a key block to spring a touchdown than score a touchdown himself, a selfless mentality that will likely serve him well as an undrafted free agent in the NFL.
Moore joins former Husky Colson Yankoff in the tight end room in Washington. Yankoff was a quarterback on Montlake before transferring to UCLA and moving positions, eventually making the Commanders' 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
With Moore signed, the last notable player yet to find an NFL home from Washington's 2026 class is wide receiver Omari Evans, who ran a blazing 40-yard dash time at Washington's pro day and earned a place on NFL radars as a result.
