Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day post on Instagram, gaining widespread attention. The Rajasthan Royals player also made history by becoming the youngest to hit 100 sixes in men's T20 cricket during an IPL match.
Rajasthan Royals youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi grabbed attention both on and off the field during the IPL 2026 clash against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. Ahead of the game, the 15-year-old posted a heartfelt Mother’s Day message on Instagram that quickly went viral.
“This one’s for you, maa," the teenager wrote, winning praise from fans across social media.
The match also saw Rajasthan Royals wearing their special all-pink jersey as part of the franchise’s “Pink Promise” campaign, which supports women-led social change and solar electrification projects in rural Rajasthan.
Even amid the emotional occasion, Sooryavanshi continued his remarkable IPL season with another fearless innings. The explosive left-hander created history by becoming the fastest and youngest player in men’s T20 cricket to hit 100 sixes.
He achieved the milestone in just 29 innings and 514 balls.
The youngster attacked from the very first delivery against Gujarat Titans, smashing Mohammed Siraj for a huge six over long-on. He eventually scored 36 off just 16 balls, including three fours and three sixes, before Siraj dismissed him after an entertaining contest.
Sooryavanshi has been Rajasthan’s standout batter this season, scoring 440 runs in 11 innings at an average of 40 and an incredible strike rate of 236.55. His tally already includes one century and two fifties.
The Royals continued to promote their “Pink Promise” initiative during the game. Led by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation, the campaign focuses on empowering women and supporting sustainable rural development.
The franchise announced that every six hit during the match would help provide solar power to six homes in Rajasthan. According to RR, the campaign has already electrified more than 780 homes across 2024 and 2025.
This year’s pink jersey, featuring the slogan “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai,” was designed by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik after winning the Royals’ nationwide design contest.
