HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Hubbard sophomore Addie Manzo led the United States Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Team to an Ibercup Championship in Cascais, Portugal this month.

The US team won all three games in the group stage to advance in the tournament. Then, downed England powerhouse, Manchester City’s youth team 5-1 for the championship.

The international tournament is known as one of the biggest international youth tournaments in the world.

The Hubbard sophomore scored one goal and recorded one assist in six matches for the title.

Manzo led the US squad against the likes of professional youth teams, Manchester City, FC Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and more.

This is the second consecutive year Manzo was selected to this exclusive US team. She is one of 16 players on the squad from across the nation.

She owns Hubbard’s girls program record for most goals in a season with 37. She also owns the school record for goals in a single game with eight.
